Princess Anne’s children

Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s children, could play a role in the Royal Family’s future

Peter Phillips, 44, and his 41-year-old wife, Autumn, live in Gloucestershire with their daughters Savannah, 11, Isla, 10, and seven-year-old Mia.

Their children could play a role in the Royal Family’s future.

Princess Anne’s daughter Zara, 41, and her rugby star husband Mike Tindall, 43, live in Gatcombe Park, Gloucestershire, with their daughters, seven-year-old Mia, and three-year-old Lena.

Zara is a trained equestrian and Olympian, and is married to former England rugby player Mike.

Princess Anne’s granddaughters Isla and Mia Tindall were also bridesmaids at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in 2018.
As the world learns of our beloved King Charles’ battle with cancer, other members of the Royal Family will be stepping in to support him while he focuses on his health. Senior royals like Prince William, the Princess of Wales, and Queen Camilla will take on more responsibility, along with Princess Anne, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and Prince Edward.

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the US and Prince Andrew taking a break from royal duties, there’s only a handful of senior royals left. The Queen has always favored a ‘slimmed-down’ monarchy, and with Kate still recovering from abdominal surgery and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out of the picture, the Firm will rely on just William, Charles, Camilla, Anne, Edward, and Sophie to carry the torch.

The King’s health update may even see the return of non-working royals like Princess Eugenie and Beatrice, while minor royals could take on greater roles in day-to-day engagements. Although the exact details of the Princess of Wales’ condition have not been revealed, sources say it’s not cancer-related, and she is expected to return to work after Easter. In the meantime, the Queen Camilla will continue with a full programme of public duties and be the King’s rock as he undergoes treatment.

While Kate recovers from the procedure, she will continue working from home, and after Easter, her return will mean two out of the ‘big three’ royals will be actively taking part in public engagements. Official overseas tours for William and Kate are off the table for the time being.

The Queen’s cousin, Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and his wife, Birgitte, are also full-time working members of the royal family. The Duke of Kent, another cousin, has scaled down his public engagements due to mobility issues, while Princess Alexandra, another cousin, has drastically reduced her workload over the last couple of years.

However, some royal experts believe this is the perfect time for Prince Edward and Sophie to shine. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice could also play a role in the Royal Family’s future. With Prince Andrew’s scandals, it’s unlikely Charles will call on him or his daughters, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, to support him.
