North Wales Police have issued a fresh appeal in their search for a hiker who has now been missing for almost a month. David, 65, was last seen in the Carneddau area of Eryri, also known as Snowdonia, on 9 January.
Police say extensive searches involving multiple agencies have been carried out since David’s disappearance, but so far he has not been found.
Chief Inspector David Cust, of North Wales Police, thanked the force’s partner agencies and wider community “for their support and assistance”.
“I am appealing to anyone who has been out walking in the area and may have come across a large backpack, as seen in the image above, to contact us,” he said.
The Carneddau mountain range covers an area of nearly 80 square miles, about 10% of Eryri, and includes some of Wales’s highest peaks.
The fresh appeal comes as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow for North and Mid Wales and parts of England on Thursday and Friday.
