The National Rugby League (NRL) has taken decisive action against two individuals for their alleged racial abuse towards South Sydney Rabbitohs players during a recent match at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
According to the NRL, derogatory remarks were aimed at the players throughout the game between St George Illawarra Dragons and South Sydney Rabbitohs. In response, the NRL has served a notice of intention to ban the offenders indefinitely, citing a breach of the NRL Spectator Code of Conduct.
NRL CEO Andrew Abdo emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards racism within the sport, highlighting the importance of addressing such behavior promptly. Abdo stated, “Racism must be confronted head-on as it has no place in our sport.
